Piepy 0.3.2: click a session, land on its Terminal tab

Clicking a session now takes you to where it runs in more places than before, Terminal included.

Terminal, tab by tab

  • A click lands on the right Terminal tab. Click a Code Puppy or Wibey session that runs in Terminal and its window comes to the front, with the exact tab selected, in a fraction of a second. A window you minimized comes back, and a window on another Space brings you to that Space. Before, a click on a Terminal session did nothing at all.

  • macOS asks once. The first time you click a Terminal session, macOS asks whether Piepy may control Terminal. Piepy uses that only to pick the tab: it never reads or types anything in Terminal. Say no and a click still brings Terminal to the front. You can turn it on later in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Automation.

More places a click can take you

  • iTerm2, Ghostty, Warp, WezTerm, kitty, Alacritty and Hyper. A click on a session in one of them brings that app to the front, and the row says its name instead of "Terminal". They come forward as a whole: picking the exact tab is Terminal-only for now.

  • Code Puppy in Cursor's or VS Code's terminal. The row says Cursor or VS Code, and a click brings that editor forward, as it already did for the Wibey CLI there.

Asks you answer in the session

  • A click anywhere on an ask Piepy can't answer takes you to the session. When an agent asks something the island can't answer for it (Code Puppy outside cmux, for one), the whole ask is one click: its text, its options and its footer. The options light up when you point at them, and a click goes to the session instead of picking one, so the island never pretends to answer what it can't. Asks the island can answer work exactly as before.
